Gralha Int'l festival awards Iran’s ‘Bubble’

Iranian short film ‘Bubble’ wins three awards at the Gralha Int'l Monthly Film Awards (GIMFA) in Brazil.

Iranian short film ‘Bubble’ has succeeded to grab three awards at the Gralha International Monthly Film Awards (GIMFA) in Brazil.

Made, written and produced by Hamed Arib, ‘Bubble’ won awards for best documentary, best director and best film editing at March edition of the Brazilian screening event.  

‘Bubble’ narrates the story of a man who emigrates without saying goodbye or informing anyone. While he is in a foreign country, his mother does not answer his calls.

The film has grabbed several awards at various international festivals before, including three awards at the November/December 2021 edition of the Artisan International Film Festival in the UK.

It is also the winner of the best film, best director and best screenplay awards at the FFTG 2020 New York Film Festival, the best experimental film award at the 2021 Berlin Indie Film Festival and the special jury prize at the 4th Aryan Int’l Children’s Film Festival of Jaipur (AICFFJ) in India.

‘Bubble’ is the recipient of the best director, best screenplay and best editing awards at the Brazilian Independent Film Festival.

The Gralha International Monthly Film Awards is a monthly film award that aims to promote the best of world cinema. The films are watched internally by qualified judges from the cinematographic environment.

The closing ceremony of the festival was held online on April 05, 2022.
